Our Focus on the Claims Experience

We’re committed to protecting our Plan Members in their time of need as well as easing administrative tasks for employers to ensure claims are managed with a focus on professionalism and empathy.

  • Our priority and focus is on the safe and early return to work for Plan Members, while proactively managing the absence.
  • Our claims process is easy to navigate with a team of Case Managers that help support Plan Members during every step.
  • Claims decisions are made in 5 business days (for Short-Term Disability) or 10 business days (for Long-Term Disability), once all claim information is received.
  • Our Case Managers work with Plan Members to ensure a smooth transition without barriers.
  • We identify and support rehabilitation needs and alternatives for gradual and safe return to work options for Plan Members.
  • Our Case Management team actively participates in customer service training, mental health training and Indigenous Care Services, to ensure we are inclusive to the needs of all communities.
